Architecture in Virtual Reality

Seminar - BSc./MSc.

Class

Virtual Reality (VR) is an immersive media that provides a novel spatial experience. It is therefore close to one of the architectural core competencies: Space.

The seminar offers an introduction to using VR for architectural applications. Various use cases for this technology in an architectural setting will be showcased. Methods for presenting, designing, animating, and interacting with 3D models in VR will be taught. A series of assignments will help to practice these methods.

Participants are encouraged to develop their own VR projects with the provided methods and technologies.

Requirements:

Experience in 3D modelling and visualization is required. The seminar is taught in English. The necessary hardware will be provided by the faculty’s AR/VR Lab.
